1.
All clubs hosting a state
tournament must follow the minimum guidelines established by USA Oklahoma
Amateur Wrestling Inc.
2. Clubs
hosting tournaments must be charter members of USAOK. All club charter and sanctions must be paid at first scheduling
meeting. If club and sanction fees are
not paid club and sanction fees are not paid tournament date will be open to
first club who pays fees.
3. All
participants must have current USA competitor’s card. All tournament wrestlers must have red and blue singlet.
4. All
coaches must have a current USA coaches’ card and minimum of copper
certification to receive floor passes.
No coaches will be allowed in a corner without floor pass.
5. Entry
fee will be $15.00 per Freestyle & $10.00 per Greco for all
tournaments. USAOK wrestling will be
paid $2.00 per entry or $500.00 (which ever is less) for each qualifying
tournament.
6. Gate charges will be $3.00 for adults
18 and over.
7. Tournaments
will offer all age divisions, and will wrestle freestyle first.
8.
Weigh-ins:
a.
Registration: 7:00 am
b.
Weigh-In: 7:30 am until conclusion (athletes must be in line at 7:30)
c.
Starting
Times: All Divisions 9:30 am
9.
Match
times: Schoolboy, Cadet, and Junior
Divisions will be three 2 min periods.
All other Kids’ divisions will wrestle three 90 second periods.
10. Tournaments
use vertical line bracketing with exception of FILA tournaments.
a. Weights with four or fewer
wrestlers will be conducted on one mat.
b. All tournaments are seeded by
draw number; same club members will be separated.
c. Qualifying Tournaments
1. Separation will be done USAOK Division
Directors.
2.
Weights
may not be combined.
3.
No out of state USA cards will be accepted.
11. Host club will have a minimum of 6 mats.
12. All officials must be registered with
National and Local Associations. They must have current license and have
attended official’s clinic.
13. Host clubs must supply one adult
mat official per season. This mat
official must officiate in a minimum of three tournaments per season, including
the event of the club they represent.
This mat official must attend a mandatory officials’ education clinic in
March. Penalty for non-compliance will
be a $100 fine. Host clubs must supply
one pairing official for their event.
This pairing official must attend a mandatory pairings education clinic
in March.
14. Host club must furnish security and
medical personnel.
15. All
results will be posted to oklahomahighschoolwrestling.com no later than 48
hours after
tournament completion. The penalty for non-compliance will be a $100
fine.
16. All tournaments must have an experienced
adult announcer.
17. Tournament flyers will be sent to USAOK
web site manager within 7 days of scheduling meeting. The penalty for non-compliance will be loss of tournament date.
18. All
tournament hosts will purchase a full page add in Oklahoma High School State
Wrestling Program. The penalty for
non-compliance will be a $200.00 fine.
19. All other violations to these rules will be a $100.00 fine
per violation. Penalty fees will be
paid at end of the tournament to the Head Mat Official.
20. Officials (Mat & Pairings) will be reimbursed at rate of
$4.00 per each entry not to exceed $1300.00 per tournament up to 399 entries,
and $1500.00 per tournament 400 entries and over.
