USAOK Wrestling has established the procedure to qualify for the 2008 Schoolboy Dual Teams in Freestyle and Greco-Roman.

An evaluation camp will be held at Midwest City High School on May 31, 2008 at which time the wrestlers will compete for positions on the #1 and #2 Freestyle Dual Teams and the Greco Dual Team.  A ranking system of national qualified wrestlers will be established based on specific tournament finishes.  The ranking system is to determine the order of matches to be held on the evaluation day.  Any wrestler who has qualified in either Freestyle or Greco is eligible to participate in this evaluation process.

The evaluation process will be as follows:

1)      The #1 ranked wrestler will be the winner of the State Championship Tournament at Catoosa May 24^th.

2)      All other wrestlers will be ranked according to head to head matches during the freestyle season. 

3)      If there are no head to head matches between the other wrestlers at a specific weight class, the ranking will go to a vote of the schoolboy coaches.

4)      The wrestler who wins a specific weight class will have precedence over a wrestler changing weight class.

5)      Therefore, wrestlers changing weight at the evaluation day will be placed on the ranking ladder based on criteria.

6)      The remaining wrestlers (ranked 2 and lower) will participate in a series of evaluation matches to compete against the #1 ranked wrestler.

7)      In order to be the champion, the #1 ranked wrestler must be defeated twice.

8)      All participating wrestlers must be within 5 pounds of the desired competition weight in order to evaluate at that weight.

*All wrestlers who make the National Dual Team must attend dual team training camp prior to departure for the National Duals.  Dual Team training camp will be at O.C.U. on Sunday, June 15^th through Tuesday, June 17^th.

*We will leave for Indiana from camp on Tuesday, June 17^th in the evening.

*Initial deposit of $200 is due NO LATER THAN 10 days after you qualify at a schoolboy qualifying tournament.  If this is not possible, you need to contact Kyle Reser at (405) 880-2601 to make alternative arrangements.

*The remaining balance for the Dual Team fees will be due at the registration for the evaluation day.  No refunds will be given to any wrestler that is selected for any Dual Team.  If you are not selected during the evaluation day, your money will be refunded.
